Help
Monday, September 22nd, 2003Have you ever noticed the abundance of people that ask for help on a daily basis without stopping for at least a millisecond to wonder wether the answer to their problem might be one simple step away?
I feel that I run into this quite a bit working in the computer world. People love asking for help. It shows a proprietary laziness that I think may be built into American society. While I enjoy spreading knowledge and helping people with thier computer issues, I do think it would be valuable if people would just tinker. Tinker with your computer, car, or whatever it may be. Realize that if you break it, which you most likely won’t, it can be fixed. But…sometimes if you just try to creatively solve that problem for yourself, you won’t need to expend energy asking someone else for help. But, again that could just be me and my late night rambling.
