Cool Colby’s Investment Advice

Monday, April 26th, 2004

This bit of advice comes from one of my great girl friends Colby traveling abroad in Europe:

If you bought $1000 of Nortel stock a year ago, it would now be worth $49. With Enron, you would have $16.50 left of the original $1,000. With WorldCom, you would have less than $5 left. Now, if you bought $1,000 worth of Coors Light (the beer, not the stock) over the past year, drank all the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling price, you would have $214. Based on these figures, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle. This is my new retirement program. I call it my 401Keg.

Matthew Moon

Thursday, April 15th, 2004

Just a quick post to let everyone know that Matthew Moon is playing Friday night at The Foundry. He’s also playing at CB & Potts in the Tech Center (Near Fiddler’s) on Saturday night as well. All Denver folk should hit up both if not one of them as he hasn’t played in the Denver area in awhile. Matt is one of my good buddies, and his music is absolutely wonderful. If you haven’t checked him out, I highly recommend it. There are plenty of songs to sample on his website. Definately check it out. Give me a call if you want to meet up for either show! Rock on!
