Quote of the Week
Monday, June 14th, 2004One of my soon to be roomies Pete Nicholson is in town looking for jobs for our new and ridiculous life. Matt Daniel, the other roomie, aka Pinche, is in New York training to be one bad tech sector investment banker. The lives will soon converge and create a bachelor pad of unmatched proportions in San Francisco’s prestigious Marina district
So, Pete scores the quote of the week for his comments on the move to California and getting out of the ridiculous drama of Boulder.
“Dave…it’s time to move to California and hit the reset button.”
Amen to that.
Back From Tahoe
Sunday, June 6th, 2004Just got back from Lake Tahoe. What a wonderful place. Reminded me a lot of home, only with really huge trees. I swung over to the East Bay on Friday night and picked up Hemphill. We headed for Tahoe and met one of my favorite girls and great old friend Emily for grub at the In-N-Out in Davis. Wonderful to see her, as I hadn’t seen her since freshman year of college. It’s crazy how fast time can go. It’s also crazy seeing someone whom you haven’t seen in 4 years. The ensuing drive to Tahoe was absolutely beautiful. It’s an amazing part of the country, one that I am happy to beginning to have a chance to explore. It’s almost like Canyon Ferry lake in Montana, but even more beautiful, with white capped peaks surrounding it. Friday night was full of good times with the new SF crew. Today we had an excellent hike to Cascade Lake, directly above Emerald Bay on the south shore.

A big thanks to Aimee for letting us crash at the awesome 70s outfitted pad. I have to find a place to get me some pleather couches now. The SF girls of CU never cease to throw the best, and most outfitted party. Snacks galore, great beer, great cooking. It never ends. Girls, thank you again. Rock on!
I’m off to crash. Back into the city in the morning to photograph the Escape from Alcatraz Triathalon. Should be amazing! Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! Buenas Noches!
Disgruntled Cement Plant Worker
Friday, June 4th, 2004Granby, Colorado. Man pissed off at the world, rigs bulldozer, takes out town hall, the newspaper agency, and the cement plant. Simpsons and South Park are vying for rights to the story. Hilarity ensues. Click Here.
