Commute.

Thursday, January 20th, 2005

I love my commute. I admit it. It may cause extensive sleep deprivation and put me at home later than most people’s regular dinner times. But, I love my commute. Interstate 280 south, with its lack of billboards or normal highway lighting, could be one of the coolest and most beautiful drives in America. It’s a refreshing and mind easing drive into Silicon Valley in the mornings, darting amongst my fellow tech workers. The only downside is the spotty wireless phone coverage. You’d think on highway feeding the mecca of high tech that your phone would never drop a call. No dice. That all being said, I’m beginning a photo essay of the drive down 280 and the beautiful photos that I take of Portola Valley every day.

Stay tuned…

From Tyrrell in Japan (So glad he’s safe):

this country man–it’s like the cop movies from the 70’s. people smoking at their desks in the office. it’s pretty funny. we’ve got a smoking room inside the junior high school for all the teachers. japan is a far cry from california.
