God Light?
Thursday, May 12th, 2005This is pretty interesting. A “light” that can reduce tumors by 27% in 20 minutes? Bizarre. But cool.

I’ve been on the road a lot lately so my consistency of posting is a bit lacking. Sorry! But, I’ve got a few things on my mind for you to check out:
Flickr
One of the most innovative picture sharing web apps to come out of the web 2.0 craze. It’s pretty sweet, I’m slowly becoming addicted (as you can see from my sidebar). Play around with it long enough, and you’ll want to start a Flickr Group (like I did) for all of your friends to share their collective photo memories within.
Backpack It
37 Signals is driving personal organization to a new level. They started with Basecamp HQ, a project management web app on steriods and have now made a move to organize your personal life on top of your business life. Check it out, it’s worth a gander.

I’m up in Hood River, Oregon for work and managed to grab a few shots of the absolutely insane hotel that we are staying at.
Hood River and the surrounding areas are some of the most beautiful places on the planet. I chalk this place up there with Jackson Hole. So, if you ever have a chance, put it on your list. I was lucky enough to spend time training here during the summers when I was on the Junior Olympic ski team at Mt Hood. It’s amazing, check out the pictures.
Flickr rocks.
I’ve been slowly converting all of my images over to my Flickr account over the last week or so, and they are just about to go live. I am a huge fan of Flickr’s genuis UI and some of the incredible community building features that they have created.
Photography has been one of my true loves my entire life. It’s really neat to see a robust and intelligently designed web app like this take off. Giving people better ways to share photos will score you massive points in my book.
I talked about the google maps mashups a few posts back, and yet another brilliantly done combination just popped up. Taking the innovative Flickr tagging feature, Geobloggers tag thier images with longitude and lattitude data. They then fuse that with Google maps to give photo tours of some of the best cities in America. I love this!
RFID is scary in itself. But this is just out of control.
A japanese company is combining RFID technology with workplace security to ensure that every last morsel of productivity is sucked out of you during the workday.
Think about this.
