Google Maps + Flickr
Flickr rocks.
I’ve been slowly converting all of my images over to my Flickr account over the last week or so, and they are just about to go live. I am a huge fan of Flickr’s genuis UI and some of the incredible community building features that they have created.
Photography has been one of my true loves my entire life. It’s really neat to see a robust and intelligently designed web app like this take off. Giving people better ways to share photos will score you massive points in my book.
I talked about the google maps mashups a few posts back, and yet another brilliantly done combination just popped up. Taking the innovative Flickr tagging feature, Geobloggers tag thier images with longitude and lattitude data. They then fuse that with Google maps to give photo tours of some of the best cities in America. I love this!
