Dave, Why WordPress?
Why? A couple of reasons. One, it is always fun jumping on the early adoption bandwagon. Two, well, it’s the best. A select few of my good friends and co-workers (read: Norm and Steve) spent a good amount of time prior to the new year trying to convince me WordPress was the way to go. Additionally, a couple of the developers also happen to live somewhere pretty near to me in SF. Deep down, I’m a small town Montana guy. I love supporting local music, small business, and the underdog.
I’ve been using WordPress as my blogging software at work since the release of 1.5. Downloads have grown, and they just hit 100,000 a few days ago. That’s cool. I like having control of my own blog/content database, and I love knowing that I can customize every last inch of my blog while sipping java late into the night.
Jump on the bandwagon. They’ve even got a fantastic tool to switch you over from Blogger.
Come on. You know you want to.
